PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES
REGION 13 (ILLINOIS) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC MEETING
PR Docket No. 91-228The Region 13 (Illinois)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold a joint
planning meeting on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the 700 MHz and 800
MHz NPSPAC RPCs will convene at the Illinois State Police Central Headquarters, First Floor
Conference Room, 801 South 7th Street, Springfield, Illinois.
The purpose of the meetings is to review pending 800 MHz and 700 MHz applications and to
address any outstanding issues.
Both Region 13 Public Safety RPCs’ meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety
providers in Region 13 may utilize these frequencies. To ensure that RPC meetings consider each
agency’s future spectrum needs in the allocation process, it is essential that eligible public safety
agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be
represented. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone
with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs.
All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum
in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 13 should plan to attend. Region 13 welcomes all
interested parties to attend, participate and volunteer for committee assignments. For further
