ADVANCED WIRELESS SERVICES LICENSE

Auction 78

Report No. AUC-78 (Auction 78)

On August 20, 2008, the Federal Communications Commission completed an auction of licenses in
the Advanced Wireless Services (“AWS-1”) and the Broadband Personal Communications Service
(“Broadband PCS”) (Auction 78).1 After a preliminary review of the FCC long-form applications (FCC
Form 601), the application listed in Attachment A to this Public Notice was accepted for filing.2 Upon
further review, we find that the application listed in Attachment A is complete and conforms to the
Commission’s rules.3 Furthermore, the Commission has received full payment, as required by Section
1.2109(a) of its rules,4 for the license listed in Attachment A.
Accordingly, by this Public Notice, we announce the grant of the license listed in Attachment A.
We grant this license pursuant to Section 309(a) of the Communications Act, 47 U.S.C. § 309(a), and
section 0.331 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 0.331, because it will serve the public interest,
convenience, and necessity.
This Public Notice includes the following Attachments:
Attachment A: Application and License the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau Is Granting.
Attachment B: Instructions for Searching for the Application Listed in Attachment A Using ULS.
