    Office of Chairman Wheeler
    The Office of the Chairman is seeking part-time and full-time non-paid student volunteer interns for the Washington, D.C. office.
  • Internship Period(s)
    Spring Semester 2014
  • General Duties
    The Office of the Chairman expects to have both undergraduate interns and graduate/post-graduate interns. All interns in the Office of the Chairman will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the functioning of the FCC, and to work on a wide variety of communications and technology issues including:
    • Television, radio, and cable issues;
    • Wireline communications regulation;
    • Wireless and satellite regulation;
    • Broadband;
    • International, spectrum, public safety and homeland security topics.
  • Selection Criteria
    Candidates should be current undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate students, particularly in the fields of law, economics, or engineering (including both computer science and electrical engineering), with strong academic credentials, good interpersonal skills, excellent research and writing abilities, and an interest in public service.

  • Additional Information
    The Office of the Chairman expects to have up to three non-paid student volunteer internships. The Office expects to have undergrad , graduate, and post-graduate interns throughout the calendar year, so please stay tuned for upcoming semesters.
  • Application Deadline
    Applications for Spring 2014 internships will be accepted on a rolling basis until selections are made. Applicants should clearly indicate the period for which they are applying, and the amount of time they would be available each week.
