Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) is a telephone service that allows persons with hearing or speech disabilities to place and receive telephone calls. There are several forms of TRS, depending on the particular needs of the user and the equipment available. TRS providers must offer service that meets certain mandatory minimum standards set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
To learn more about how TRS works and what forms of TRS are available, see our Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) Guide.
