The Legal Support Assistant will assist in the preparation of legal documents, including typing, proofreading, and formatting. The incumbent will also assist in legal and computer research by searching legal and other data bases and by reading other legal materials to the attorney when necessary. The Legal Support Assistant may also perform independent legal research when requested by the attorney. The Legal Support Assistant will also accompany the attorney to meetings, conferences and other activities when requested by attorney. The Legal Support Assistant, in addition, will read the attorney?s mail, including FAX, written, and electronic; and assist in the preparation of responses thereto.
