USF General Management and Oversight
The Office of the Managing Director provides direction to the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) which administers the Commission’s federal universal service program, also known as the Universal Service Fund (USF). In order to facilitate the efficient management and oversight of the USF program, the FCC entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with USAC. This MOU became effective on September 9, 2008 and will remain in effect for four years unless revised or terminated by the Commission.
