Roundtable on Media Ownership Policies - 10/29/01 A number of distinguished experts discuss the fundamental questions surrounding media ownership limits, covering issues such as ownership policies, competition, diversity, and localism.
Panelists discuss a variety of issues including: the relationship between ownership limits and market performance; the merits of ex ante ownership limits versus case-by-case investigations; what product markets are relevant to FCC consideration of ownership policies; and the costs and benefits of different types of restrictions (horizontal caps, cross-ownership restrictions, access regulations).
