Reminder That FY 2012 Regulatory Fees Are Due

No Later Than September 13, 2012, Eastern Time (ET)

The Federal Communications Commission wishes to remind licensees and regulatees who pay annual
regulatory fees that the deadline for payment is September 13, 2012. Filers must ensure that their
regulatory fee payments are RECEIVED at the Commission’s St. Louis, Missouri address by 11:59
PM on September 13, 2012, Eastern Daylight Time, to avoid incurring a 25 percent late-payment
penalty, along with interest and other fees. All payments must include a FCC Registration Number
(FRN) in order to be processed.
The Commission is required by Congress to collect regulatory fees to recover the regulatory costs
associated with its enforcement, policy and rulemaking, user information, and international activities.1
The Commission established the fees that licensees and regulatees must pay for Fiscal Year (FY) 2012
in its Report and Order, Assessment and Collection of Regulatory Fees for Fiscal Year 2012 (released
July 19, 2012). This Report and Order was published as a final rule in the Federal Register on August
3, 2012 and becomes effective on September 4, 2012. As stated in the Report and Order2 and the
Federal Register,3 information regarding payment procedures and the payment due date can be found
on the Commission website at http://www.fcc.gov/regfees [5].
Filers should visit the Commission’s Internet web site at http://www.fcc.gov/regfees [5] to obtain specific
information about their FY 2012 regulatory fees, and to begin the filing and payment process.
