FCC TO HOLD OPEN COMMISSION MEETING
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2012
The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on the subject listed below
on Friday, November 30, 2012. The meeting is scheduled to commence at 10:30 a.m. in Room

Creation of a Low Power Radio Service
(MM Docket No. 99-25)
SUMMARY:
The Commission will consider a
Fifth Order on Reconsideration and Sixth Report
and Order, finalizing procedures to complete the
processing of over 6,000 pending FM translator
applications and completing implementation of
the Local Community Radio Act. These are the
final steps toward opening a filing window that
will allow non-profit groups nationwide to apply
for low power radio licenses, expanding the
diversity of truly local voices in the media
landscape.
The meeting site is fully accessible to people using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Sign
language interpreters, open captioning, and assistive listening devices will be provided on site.
