REPLY COMMENTS ON THE STATE OF MOBILE WIRELESS COMPETITION AND THE
ROLE OF MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES

On May 17, 2013, the Bureau released a Public Notice (PN) seeking comment on the state of
competition in the mobile wireless marketplace.1 On July 1, 2013, the Bureau released a follow-up PN
extending the date for reply comments, and seeking additional comment on the role minority and women-
owned enterprises (MWBEs) play in mobile wireless competition.2 The date for reply comments was
revised to July 15, 2013. Shortly after release of the follow-up PN, the Bureau received a letter from the
Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC) requesting additional time. MMTC states
that a 10-day extension would allow for a more meaningful opportunity to respond to the questions
As the Bureau's interest is in developing a full record, we see no harm in allowing parties an
additional 10 days in which to file reply comments. Therefore, we grant MMTC's request for an
extension. Pursuant to sections 1.415 and 1.419 of the Commission's rules, 47 CFR 1.415, 1.419,
interested parties may file reply comments on or before
July 25, 2013.

location where hand-delivered or messenger-delivered paper filings
for the Commission's Secretary will be accepted. The Commission's former filing location at
236 Massachusetts Ave., N.E., is permanently closed.
