A Survival Analysis of Cable Networks

This paper employs survival/duration analysis to determine how subscriber levelsaffect cable networks’ survival probabilities. According to these survival/duration  estimates, a cable network that grows at our calculated mean rate requires approximately 42 million subscribers by its tenth year to obtain a 70% chance of survival  over its first ten years.
