                CABLE SERVICES ACTION                      November 6, 1996



     Pursuant to 47 C.F.R.  76.1502, Metropolitan Fiber Systems/McCourt, Inc. ("MFS") filed
two applications for Open Video System certification, one for Boston, Massachusetts and one for
the Island of Manhattan, New York City, New York, on November 5, 1996.  Comments are due
to be filed with the Office of the Secretary and the Office of the Bureau Chief, Cable Services
Bureau on or before November 12, 1996.  MFS's application is available via the Internet:
