Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 97-72 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON PACIFIC TELESIS COMPARABLY EFFICIENT INTERCONNECTION PLAN FOR PAYPHONE SERVICE CC Docket No. 96-128 Released: January 13, 1997 On December 26, 1996, Pacific Telesis (Pacific), on behalf of Pacific Bell and Nevada Bell filed a Comparably Efficient Interconnection (CEI) plan for providers of pay telephone services in accordance with Commission requirements imposed in Implementation of the Pay Telephone Reclassification and Compensation Provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, CC Docket No. 96-128, Report and Order, FCC 96-388, released Sept. 20, 1996, and Order on Reconsideration, FCC 96-439, released Nov. 8, 1996. Interested parties should file comments on Pacific's proposed CEI plan for payphone services providers by February 12, 1997, and reply comments by February 27, 1997, with the Secretary, FCC, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. In addition, parties should send one copy to Janice Myles, Common Carrier Bureau, FCC, Room 544, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554, and to one copy to International Transcription Service, Inc, (ITS), the Commission's contractor for public service records duplication. Pacific's proposed plan is available for inspection and copying during normal business hours in the FCC's Reference Center, Room 239, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
