FCC CONSUMER INFORMATION BUREAU LAUNCHES "BIENVENIDOS," Washington, DC - Access to the FCC's Spanish-language consumer bulletins has become much easier with the launch of "Bienvenidos" the Consumer Information Bureau's (CIB) new homepage for Spanish-speaking consumers. There are more than 30 consumer bulletins currently available in Spanish and more will be coming soon. Among the topics addressed are "slamming, " telephone scams, indecent broadcast programming, and low power FM radio. All of these are just a click away through the "Bienvenidos" page. CIB Chief K. Dane Snowden said, "With many millions of Spanish-speaking consumers in our country, it is important to make it convenient for them to educate themselves about the choices they will be making concerning telecom products and services. This new web page goes a long way in achieving this goal." "Bienvenidos" is at: http://www.fcc.gov/cib/consumerfacts/spanish/spanish.html - FCC - |
