By this Order, we extend the deadlines for filing comments, petitions to deny and responsive pleadings with respect to applications to be considered in the non-geostationary fixed-satellite service (NGSO FSS) Ku-band processing round. We take this action in response to a request filed by SkyBridge L.L.C. on April 12, 1999. The request was unopposed. 2. The Public Notice accepting the pending NGSO FSS Ku-band applications for filing set the dates for filing comments for June 9, 1999. (See Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00013 (March 23, 1999).) SkyBridge requests that date be extended to June 30, 1999. SkyBridge further requests the dates for oppositions and replies be extended to July 21 and August 2, 1999, respectively. 3. In support of its request, SkyBridge states that the current dates fall immediately after a series of WRC-2000 preparatory meetings that will focus on the issues raised in the referenced applications. In addition, many of the engineering and legal representatives of the applicants who will be responsible for preparing the comments and petitions will be attending the WRC-2000 preparatory meetings. SkyBridge asserts that grant of its request will permit full private sector involvement in the the WRC-2000 preparatory meetings and the development of a full record concerning the pending applications. Further, SkyBridge states that it has contacted counsel of all other applicants and has been informed that all of the applicants support, or do not object to this request. Given these circumstances, we find the requested extensions are warranted. 4. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission's Rules on delegations of authority, 47 C.F.R. Section 0.261, SkyBridge L.L.C.'s Request for Extension of Time to file comments, petitions to deny, and responsive pleadings comments in the referenced proceedings IS GRANTED. Comments and/or petitions may be filed on or before June 30, 1999; and reply comments and/or oppositions may be filed on or before July 21, 1999; and replies to oppositions may be filed on or before August 2, 1999. 5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this Order is effective upon release. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Thomas S. Tycz Chief, Satellite and Radiocommunication Division International Bureau
