           INTERNATIONAL BUREAU TO HOLD ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION
         OF INTERNATIONAL SECTION 214 AND CABLE LANDING LICENSE
                         AUTHORIZATION PROCESSES
                                    
     The International Bureau will hold a roundtable discussion on Wednesday, January 28, 1998,
at 2:00 p.m., to identify and discuss ways to streamline the international Section 214 and cable
landing license processes.  The public is invited to attend and participate in the discussion.  Any party
that wishes to make a formal presentation should contact Doug Klein by January 21 with an outline of
the presentation and any needs for audiovisual equipment.

     The roundtable discussion will be held in the Commission Meeting Room (Room 856), 1919
M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.  Videotapes of the discussion will be made and placed in a public
file in the Secretary's office and in the record of any appropriate Commission proceedings.
