The Commission considers herein a petition for rule making filed on behalf of Farmersburg Community Broadcasting ("petitioner") requesting the allotment of FM Channel 242A to Farmersburg, Indiana, as that community's first local aural transmission service. Petitioner stated a commitment to apply for Channel 242A if it is allotted to Farmersburg, Indiana, as requested. 2. A staff analysis of the proposal indicates that Channel 242A can be allotted to the incorporated community of Farmersburg (population 1,159), in conformity with the minimum distance separation requirements of Section 73.207(b)(1) of the Commission's Rules, without a site restriction, utilizing city reference coordinates at 39-15-18 and 87-23-00 3.
