At the request of Windy Valley Broadcasting ("petitioner"), the Commission has before it the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 12 FCC Rcd 1770 (1997), proposing the allotment of Channel 300A at Midwest, Wyoming, as the community's first local aural transmission service. Petitioner filed comments in support of the proposal reaffirming its intention to apply for the channel, if allotted. No other comments were received. 2. We believe the public interest would be served by allotting Channel 300A at Midwest, Wyoming, since it would provide the community with its first local aural transmission service. An engineering analysis has determined that Channel 300A can be allotted to Midwest in compliance with the Commission's minimum distance separation requirements at city reference coordinates. 3. Accordingly, pursuant to the authority found in Sections 4(i), 5(c)(1), 303(g) and (r) and 307(b) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and Sections 0.61, 0.204(b) and 0.283 of the Commission's Rules, IT IS ORDERED, That effective August 11, 1997, the FM Table of Allotments, Section 73.202(b) of the Commission's Rules, IS AMENDED, with respect to the community listed below, to read as follows: City Channel No. Midwest, Wyoming 300A 4. The window period for filing applications for Channel 300A at Midwest, Wyoming, will open on August 11, 1997, and close on September 11, 1997. 5.
