NEWS November 4, 1996 FCC SPEECHES NOW AVAILABLE VIA E-MAIL The FCC has announced that members of the public may now receive the texts of speeches by FCC Commissioners via e-mail. Interested parties have the option of receiving all released FCC speeches or only those speeches pertaining to universal service issues. These electronic mailing lists, or "listservers," are part of the FCC's ongoing effort to make its information widely available to the public. Anyone with e-mail access to the Internet may subscribe and unsubscribe themselves to these mailing lists. Subscribing to these lists is free. To subscribe, send an e-mail to subscribe@info.fcc.gov. Leave the subject line blank. In the body of the message, type: subscribe speeches if you wish to receive all released speeches, or subscribe edtech if you wish to receive only universal service speeches. To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to the same address and in the body of the message type, as appropriate, either: unsubscribe speeches or unsubscribe edtech . The FCC also makes available free e-mail subscriptions to the Daily Digest.
