           Correction to Regulatory Fee Public Notices

In the Public Notice FY 1997 Mass Media Regulatory Fees, mimeo number 75519, issued August
1, 1997, the second paragraph on page one titled "WHO MUST PAY REGULATORY FEES IN FY
1997," erroneously states in part that "(i)n the event that there has been a change in ownership of a
system after the effective date, but before the date of payment is due, responsibility for payment of
the regulatory fees rests with the owner of record on the effective date noted below."  The sentence
should read as follows:  "In the event that there has been a change in ownership of a system after
October 1, 1996, but before the effective date for collection of the FY 1997 regulatory fees
(September 15, 1997), responsibility for payment of the regulatory fees rests with the owner of
record at the time of payment of the fees."

Futher, the third paragraph on page seven of the same Public Notice erroneously reads in part:  "FEE
REQUIREMENT:  Fees are assessed commercial television stations licensees based upon the size
of the Nielsen Designated Market Area (DMA) in which their stations are listed in the 1996 Edition
of the TV & Cable Factbook No. 64 as published by Warren Publishing."  The sentence should read
as follows:  "FEE REQUIREMENT:  Fees are assessed commercial television station licensees
based upon the size of the Nielsen Designated Market Area (DMA) in which their stations are listed
in the 1997 Edition of the TV & Cable Factbook No. 65 as published by Warren Publishing."

In the Public Notice FY 1997 Cable Television System Regulatory Fees, mimeo number 75515.
issued August 1, 1997,  the second paragraph on page one titled "WHO MUST PAY
REGULATORY FEES IN FY 1997," erroneously states in part that "(i)n the event that there has
been a change in ownership of a system after the effective dates above, but before the date payment
is due, responsibility for payment of the regulatory fees rests with the owner of record on the
appropriat effective date noted above."  The sentence should read as follows:  "In the event that there
has been a change in ownership of a cable system after after December 31, 1996 or a CARS system
after October 1, 1996, but before the effective date for collection of the FY 1997 regulatory fees
(September 15, 1997), responsibility for payment of the regulatory fees rests with the owner of
record at the time of payment of the fees."
