On May 12, 1993, the Common Carrier Bureau's Mobile Services Division dismissed the above- captioned application of Mountaineer Paging (Mountaineer). On June 9, 1993, Mountaineer filed a Petition for Reconsideration of the dismissal of its application. On October 25, 1994, Mountaineer, by letter to the Mobile Services Division, requested that the application be dismissed, stating mistakenly that the application "remains pending." While we recognize that a request to dismiss an application that has already been dismissed is in error, even so, Mountaineer's request to dismiss its application renders its Petition for Reconsideration moot. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to the authority delegated by Sections 4(i) and 405 of the Communications Act, as amended, 47 U.S.C. 154(i) and 405, authority delegated by Section 0.331 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.331 and pursuant to Section 1.106 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. 1.106, the Petition for Reconsideration filed by Mountaineer Paging on June 9, 1993, IS DISMISSED as moot.
