On October 18, 1996, Gulf Telephone Company (GTC) filed a petition to dismiss Communitronics, Inc.'s (Communitronics) above-captioned application to provide service on the 152.63 MHz frequency. GTC asserted that granting Communitronics' application on the requested 152.63 MHz frequency would cause harmful interference with GTC's proposed facility at a nearby site. In response to GTC's petition, Communitronics acknowledged that it had inadvertently requested the 152.63 MHz frequency and amended its application to request frequency 152.12 MHz, rendering GTC's petition moot. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, that pursuant to authority delegated by Sections 4(i) and 309(d) of the Communications Act, as amended, 47 U.S.C.  154(i) and 309(d), authority delegated by Section 0.331 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  0.331, and pursuant to Section 22.130 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  22.130, the petition to dismiss filed by Gulf Telephone Company on October 18, 1996, IS DISMISSED as moot.
