DEADLINE TO RESUBMIT APPLICATIONS FO  R THE
NOVEMBER 13, 1995 MULTIPOINT DISTRIBUTION SERVICE AUCTION
EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 31, 1995

     The Commission is extending by one day the deadline for resubmission of
applications to participate in the auction for 493 authorizations to provide single channel
Multipoint Distribution Service and Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service, collectively
referred to as "MDS," which is scheduled to begin on November 13, 1995.

     Resubmitted FCC Form 175-M applications for this auction must be filed no later
than 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, October 31, 1995.  Late resubmissions will not be
accepted, and this will be the final opportunity for applicants to cure FCC Form 175-M
defects.  Applicants should refer to "FCC Announces the Status of Applications to Participate
in Auction of Multipoint Distribution Service," Public Notice, released October 16, 1995, for
specific resubmission instructions.

     This resubmission extension does not affect the deadline previously announced for the
submission of upfront payments to participate in the MDS auction.  Upfront payments are
due at Mellon Bank, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, today, October 30, 1995.
