File No. CWD 97-16 August 18, 1997 RON BRASHER D/B/A METROPLEX TWO-WAY RADIO REQUEST FOR DEVELOPMENTAL AUTHORIZATION AND PETITION FOR RULE MAKING On June 20, 1997, Ron Brasher d/b/a Metroplex Two-Way Radio (Metroplex) filed a Request for Developmental Authorization pursuant to Section 22.409 of the Commission's Rules. Specifically, Metroplex is requesting developmental authority to construct and operate transmitters in the Land Mobile Service on channels spaced 12.5 kHz apart from channels allocated to the General Aviation Air- Ground Service of Section 22.805. Metroplex argues that it intends to utilize the requested frequencies for stations in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, and requests developmental authority for a period of two years. At the end of the 2 year period, Metroplex states that it will submit the results of it's operational tests along with any additional information required by Section 22.409(f). As required in Section 22.409(b), Metroplex has also submitted a Petition for Rule Making. Metroplex is requesting that the Commission amend Section 22.805 to permit Land Mobile Service operation on channels spaced 12.5 kHz from the channels allocated to the General Aviation Air-Ground Service. Interested parties may file comments on the Request for Developmental Authority and the Petition for Rule Making no later than September 17, 1997; reply comments should be filed on or before October 2, 1997.
