("Motorola"), pursuant to Section 310(d) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended. Motorola sought consent to transfer ultimate control over all FCC authorizations held by Motorola's wholly owned subsidiary, Ardis Company ("Ardis"), to American Mobile Satellite Corp. ("AMSC") and its subsidiary, American Mobile Satellite Corporation Acquisition Company, Inc., in connection with the proposed merger of Ardis and AMSC. Applying the Commission's public interest analysis, the Bureau found that the proposed transfer will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity, and granted the transfer of control application.
