The FCC's Intergovernmental Advisory Committee is preparing a report for the FCC regarding issues involved in local government review of wireless facilities siting. The FCC and the IAC hope that the Report will serve as a resource for local jurisdictions and the industry with respect to applications to site wireless communications facilities. The IAC would appreciate information to assist it in preparing a comprehensive Report. In particular, IAC members are interested in hearing about effective and efficient siting ordinances, rights-of-way agreements for deployment of small cells, creative processes and agreements between government and industry that further deployment, and other siting-related information from jurisdictions and the industry willing to share their experiences. The IAC would also value examples of "lessons learned" – that is, what has worked, and what has not. Please provide your feedback at the following address FCC-IAC@fcc.gov by May 6, 2016 so the IAC may consider it for inclusion in their report due to the Commission by June 1, 2016.

The Intergovernmental Advisory Committee ("IAC"), formerly known as the Local and State Government Advisory Committee, was created in 1997 to provide guidance to the Commission on issues of importance to state, local and tribal governments, as well as to the Commission. The IAC is composed of 15 elected and appointed officials of municipal, county, state, and tribal governments. The IAC provides ongoing advice and information to the Commission on a broad range of telecommunications issues of interest to state, local and tribal governments, including cable and local franchising, public rights-of-way, facilities siting, universal service, broadband access, barriers to competitive entry, and public safety communications, for which the Commission explicitly or inherently shares responsibility or administration with local, county, state or tribal governments.
