Please join us today (December 19th) as we recognize and honor advancements in accessible technologies! FCC Chairman Genachowski will host the second annual Awards for Advancement in

Accessibility today at 2 pm. The ceremony will be held at FCC headquarters in the Commission Meeting Room.

 

The awards are a project of the FCC’s Accessibility and Innovation Initiative. It recognizes engineers, researchers, and other technologists whose energies and perseverance contribute to communications and video technologies that help people with disabilities to obtain and succeed at jobs and participate more actively in the community.

 

In addition to the awards ceremony, many of the winning technologies will be on display in the FCC’s Technology Experience Center today beginning at 12:15 p.m. and will continue after the ceremony until 4:00 p.m.
