COMPLAINT AGAINST AT&T FOR MONITORING
AND DISCLOSING PHONE CONVERSATION SET FOR
HEARING - CC DOCKET 94-89  (Report No. DC-2629,
Action in Docket Case)
     The Commission has designated for hearing a
complaint by Elehue Kawika Freemon and Lucille K.
Freemon against AT&T.  The Freemons alleged that on
May 30, 1988, an AT&T operator intercepted and disclosed
the contents or meaning of their telephone conversation, in
violation of the Communications Act.
     Action by the Commission July 20 by HDO (FCC

FCC AMENDS RULES OF COMMISSION
ORGANIZATION AND GOVERNING EMPLOYEE
STANDARDS OF ETHICAL CONDUCT (Report No. GN-
161, General Action)
     The Commission has added a new section 0.25(a)
to its rules to delegate authority to the General Counsel to
act as the "designated agency ethics official (DAEO)."  The
rule will delegate authority to the Associate General Counsel
for Administrative Law to act as the "alternate designated
agency ethics official."
     Action by the Commission July 20 by Order (FCC
94-193).
