FCC COMMITTEE ON MAKING PHONES
COMPATIBLE WITH HEARING AIDS TO MEET AT
MARYLAND HIGH SCHOOL; MODEL OF NEW,
STREAMLINED APPROACH TO RESOLVING ISSUES
(Report No. CC 95-30, Common Carrier Action)
     An advisory committee established by the Federal
Communications Commission to negotiate rules to make
more telephones useable by persons with hearing aids will
meet on Tuesday, May 30, at Eleanor Roosevelt High
School in Greenbelt, MD.  This Prince George's County
high school operates the county's largest program for
students with hearing disabilities.

QUINCY, IL.  Granted the petition for special relief filed
by Quincy  Broadcasting Company to include the
communities of Bowling Green,  Curryville,  Frankford,
and Lousiana, Missouri within the Quincy, Illinois-
Hannibal, MI area of dominant influence (ADI) for the
purposes of the cable television broadcast signal carriage

DAVENPORT, IA.  Denied the petition for special relief
filed by Broad Street Television, L.P.,  seeking to establish
mandatory carriage rights on the cable system serving Iowa
City, Coralville, University Heights, and portions of
Johnson County, IA,  operated  by  TCI  of  Eastern Iowa.

OMAHA, NE.  Granted the petition for special relief filed
by Pappas Stations Partnership to include Lancaster County,

INTERNATIONAL, INC. (CCI).    Granted  motion  and
dismissed with prejudice Western Union's complaint against
CCI.    (By Order [DA 95-1138] adopted May 22 by the
Chief, Formal Complaints and Investigations Branch,
Enforcement Division, Common Carrier Bureau)

LOGICALL.  Granted,  in  part , NECA's  request  for
declaratory ruling regarding the effectiveness of tariff rates
and regulations governing lifeline assistance and universal
service fund charges during the period April 1 through July
31, 1989;   denied Logicall's petition for declaratory ruling
and interim relief against NECA's unauthorized interference
with the continued provision of authorized resale carrier
