RULES FOR BROADBAND PCS --Action Taken to
Prevent Further Delay of August 29 Auction-- (Report No.

     The Federal Communications Commission (FFC)
today announced that it is modifying the rules applicable to
the C Block broadband Personal Communications Services
(PCS) auction scheduled to begin August 29th.
