COMMISSION ACCEPTS FOR COMMENT A
PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF CABLE RATE
COMPLAINTS INVOLVING GARDEN STATE
CABLEVISION, L.P. (Report No. CS 96-8, Cable Services
Action)
     The Commission has accepted for comment a
Proposed Resolution that, if adopted by the Commission,
will resolve cable television complaints pending against
Garden State Cablevision, L.P. ("Garden State") involving
about 200,000 Garden State subscribers and provide
approximately $1.6 million in refunds.
     Action by the Commission February 1, 1996, by
Order (FCC 96-40).

INTERNATIONAL BUREAU TO PURSUE CARRIERS
ENGAGED IN FRAUDULENT INTERNATIONAL
CALLBACK (Report No. IN 96-5, International Action)
     The FCC's International Bureau announced today
that it intends to sanction international callback providers
that configure their equipment fraudulently and in violation
of the Commission rules to allow foreign customers to place
free calls.
