Under the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, the Commission may, in appropriate circumstances, decide to revoke (47 U.S.C. § 312) or not to renew (47 U.S.C. § 309(k)) a license or other authorization. In both cases, the Commission issues a preliminary decision describing the facts of the case and setting the matter for hearing before an administrative law judge (ALJ). During the hearing, the licensee and the Enforcement Bureau may present evidence on the licensee?s fitness to retain its license. Following conclusion of the hearing, the ALJ issues a decision on the merits, which may be appealed to the full Commission.

The following table is a partial compilation of Commission, Bureau, and ALJ decisions from 2000 to the present relating to the cancellation of broadcast and wireless licenses, equipment authorizations, and interstate common carrier authority. Although we will endeavor to keep this webpage complete and up-to-date, not all decisions regarding such cases are published. Interested persons are strongly advised to check with the Office of Administrative Law Judges or the Enforcement Bureau to determine the current status of any case listed below.
