Ramona E. Mann is the Deputy Director of the Office of Workplace Diversity. She served as the Acting Director December of 2014 until September of 2016. Prior to working in the Office of Workplace Diversity, Ms. Mann served as the Chief of Staff of the Spectrum and Competition Policy Division of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. She has held a variety of positions in her 20+ years at the FCC, such as the Commercial Wireless Division Legal Branch Chief, Public Safety and Private Wireless Division Deputy Division Chief, and Public Safety and Critical Infrastructure Division Chief of Staff.
Ms. Mann joined the FCC in 1994 after serving 8 years in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp. of the U.S. Army. While state-side, Ms. Mann served as an Administrative Law Chief, Trial Counsel, Claims Chief, and Legal Assistance Attorney. In addition to serving state-side at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Ms. Mann also travelled all over Germany representing soldiers in criminal trials, while serving as the Chief of the Trial Defense Counsel Office in Baumholder, Germany.
Ms. Mann received her LL.M. in Administrative Law from the Judge Advocate General’s School, her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, and her B.A. from Bowie State College.
