In accordance with the FCC's Restoring Internet Freedom Order, Internet service providers (ISPs) are required to publicly disclose information about their network management practices, performance characteristics and commercial terms of their broadband Internet access services. ISPs have two options for posting the required disclosures: they can post disclosures on publicly available, easily accessible websites of their choosing or they can submit disclosures to the FCC for posting.

Consumers may view ISP disclosures submitted to the FCC using the FCC's Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS). Consumers can search ECFS for ISP disclosures or information about where to find more recent disclosures for ISPs that previously submitted disclosures to the FCC and later elect to provide them on publicly available, easily accessible websites of their choosing. For an ISP that has made no submissions through the FCC portal, consumers should contact the ISP or search for its disclosure on the web.

How do I find my ISP's disclosure using ECFS?

ISPs choosing to submit their disclosures to the FCC are required to use ECFS via the Restoring Internet Freedom ISP Disclosures docket, CG Docket No. 18-142. To search for ISP disclosures submitted to the FCC, visit fcc.gov/ecfs.

Once there, insert "18-142" into the "Specify Proceeding (Optional)" search field, enter any keywords, such as the name of your ISP, into the "Search Full Text" search field, and then select “Search” at the bottom of the search box.

What if my ISP's disclosure doesn't show up in ECFS?

ISPs are not required to submit disclosures in ECFS. Instead, an ISP may publish the information on a publicly available, easily accessible website. You can look for your ISP's disclosure by visiting the ISP's website, by contacting its customer service, or by conducting a web search.

How do I discover the name of my ISP?

If you do not know the name of your ISP, check your monthly broadband services bill.

People with disabilities who need assistance finding or accessing their ISP's disclosure submissions at www.fcc.gov/ecfs may request assistance by sending an email to Section508FCC@fcc.gov.
