Celebration of Americans with Disabilities Act 20th Anniversary

As part of its continuing effort to develop and implement consumer-focused policies, including disabilities access, the Federal Communications Commission will begin its year-long celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Monday, July 19, 2010. The event previously scheduled at the FCC Headquarters, will now be held on the same date, in the Main Foyer at the Department of Commerce, 1401 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC. from 11 AM to 3 PM. The event will include a launch of the Commission’s Accessibility and Innovation Forum, an announcement of FCC initiatives concerning disability access, a Technology Expo, a debut of a video documenting first-person testimonials on disability access, and performances by Gallaudet University students.
