Cingular Wireless LLC (Cingular), by its attorneys hereby submits its Quarterly E911 Implementation Report. This Report details the status of Cingular's Phase I and Phase II E911 implementation for its Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Advanced Mobile Phone Service (AMPS) and TDMA/AMPS networks. The instant Report is limited to updating information regarding pending E911 deployments that has changed since the filing of Cingular's previous report on May 1, 2006. On October 26, 2004, Cingular completed its acquisition of AT&T Wireless (AWS); thus, this report includes information for the former AWS networks. The Cingular and AWS networks, which were originally operated independently, are being transitioned to a single integrated network for the combined Cingular/former AWS entity. Cingular will therefore continue to submit separate spreadsheets until the physical integration of the networks for both companies has been completed. Until that time, information regarding public safety answering point (PSAP) requests received after October 26, 2004 will be reported as following:

  • Requests from PSAPs serving areas located within the coverage footprint of both Cingular and the former AWS will be listed in the spreadsheets for each company;
  • Requests from PSAPs serving areas located within the coverage area of either Cingular or the former AWS will be listed only in the spreadsheet for the company serving the PSAP; and
  • Requests from PSAPs serving areas where network integration has been completed will be listed separately.
