1) Modifying Wideband Emissions Using the Narrowband Tool:

1. Log in to the narrowbanding tool, https://wireless2.fcc.gov/narrowband/login.faces with your unique access code or FCC Registration Number (FRN) and password.

If you do not know the password, call the FCC Licensing Support Center at 1-877-480-3201 and select Option 1. Once your password has been reset, you can proceed to the first step above.

2. Click on a call sign.

3. Enter the new bandwidth for the emission designators.

4. Click Approve and Certify.

5. Complete the General Certification Statements screen and click Submit.
Note: By typing your first and last name in the name fields you have signed your application.

 

2) Removing Wideband Emissions Using the Wideband Removal Tool

1. Log into https://apps3.fcc.gov/wideband-removal/ using your FRN (including the preceding zeros) and password.

If you do not know the password, call the FCC Licensing Support Center at 1-877-480-3201 and select Option 1. Once your password has been reset, you can proceed to the first step above.

2. Click the View Call Signs button.

                        Only call signs containing both wideband and narrowband emissions will be displayed.

3. Select a call sign by clicking on it.

If wideband emissions have been removed already, the applicant will be presented with the following message: Call sign does not have any wideband emission designators requiring removal.

4. The applicant will be presented with a list of frequencies that contain wideband emission designators; the wideband emission designators will be noted in blue boxes.

5. Remove the wideband emission designators by clicking the checkbox beside each emission designator, or by clicking the Select All option at the top of the screen. The blue boxes will turn red and show a checkmark in the box after selection.

6. Certify and Remove Wideband Emissions – Enter your Title and First and Last Name; click the green Remove Emissions button to submit the application.

7. Submittal Status Screen – this will display momentarily while the application is in the submission process.

8. Confirmation Screen – this will be displayed when the application has been successfully submitted. It will show an EBF Number, Call sign and timestamp of submission. PRINT and RETAIN this confirmation so that you can refer to the EBF Number for any inquiries concerning this application.
