              ORDER, MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
               AND NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING

By the Chief, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau:

     This Erratum makes a minor correction to the text adopted in the Order, Memorandum Opinion and
Order, and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking ("Orders and Notice") in the above-captioned proceedings,
FCC 98-228, which were released on September 17, 1998. Summaries of the Orders and Notice have not yet
been published in the FCC Record or the Federal Register. Accordingly, the correction set forth herein shall
be incorporated into the text of the Orders and Notice prior to such publication.

     The last sentence of Paragraph 14 of the Orders and Notice is corrected to state:

     In that regard, we remind licensees that there is no suspension of the requirement to make quarterly
payments under our installment payment rules, irrespective of our actions today, and that we will strictly
enforce the late payment fee and automatic cancellation provisions of the revised grace period rule beginning
with the payment that falls due on the last day of the first full calendar quarter occurring after release of an
initial Report and Order resolving issues raised in the Petition for Rulemaking, RM-8951.
