                 FCC ANNOUNCES GRANT OF 900 MHz 
              SPECIALIZED MOBILE RADIO MTA LICENSES
                                 
    On August 12, 1996, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, under delegated authority,
granted the applications listed in Attachment A hereto for Major Trading Area (MTA) licenses in
the Specialized Mobile Radio Service (SMR) in the 896-901 MHz and 935-940 MHz bands.  The
applicants identified herein will receive their individual MTA licenses shortly.  

    The Bureau will announce the disposition of 900 MHz SMR applications not listed in this
notice by subsequent Public Notice.
