          WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES
 JUNE 8, 1998 ELECTION DATE FOR BROADBAND PCS C BLOCK LICENSEES
                                
     PAYMENTS FOR C AND F BLOCK LICENSEES RESUME JULY 31, 1998
The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau), pursuant to the Order on Reconsideration of
the Second Report and Order (Reconsideration Order), announces that the Election Date for
Broadband Personal Communications Services (PCS) is June 8, 1998.  Any "new money"
necessary for prepayment of licenses under the Reconsideration Order must be paid to the
Commission on the Election Date.

Installment payments for broadband PCS C and F block licensees will resume on July 31, 1998. 
On that date, licensees are required to pay accrued interest from April 1, 1998, through and
including July 31, 1998, plus one-eighth of their Suspension Interest.   Payments received after
July 31, 1998, but on or before October 29, 1998, must include a late payment fee equal to 5
percent of the amount that was due on July 31, 1998.

The Bureau will announce, in the near future by Public Notices, the specific procedures for  filing
elections and for remitting funds to the Commission.
