PUBLIC NOTICE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION 445 TWELFTH STREET, S.W.; TW-A325 WASHINGTON, D.C. 20554 News Media Information: (202) 418-0500 Fax-On-Demand: (202) 418-2830 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov ftp.fcc.gov DA 00-2802 Released: December 13, 2000 AM Auction No. 32 Mutually Exclusive Applicants Settlement Period and Section 307(b) Filing Period Extended to February 28, 2001 Report No. AUC 00-32 - F (Auction No. 32) On October 27, 2000, the Mass Media Bureau and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (collectively the "Bureaus") released a Public Notice, DA 00-2416, listing all AM applications received during the AM auction filing window that are mutually exclusive with other applications filed in the window. The Public Notice established a December 29, 2000 deadline for the filing of settlement agreements and technical solutions for application groups involving at least one major modification proposal. It also established a December 29, 2000 deadline for each applicant to file a Section 307(b) submission where competing applicants propose to serve different communities. Numerous applicants have requested that the Bureaus extend the December 29, 2000 deadline so that they could fully pursue settlement opportunities and technical solutions and prepare complete Section 307(b) submissions. The Bureaus find that an extension of these filing periods would serve the public interest. Therefore, by this Public Notice, we extend the deadline for the filing of settlement agreements, engineering proposals to resolve the mutual exclusivity, and Section 307(b) submissions, to February 28, 2001. All other filing requirements remain unchanged. For further information, contact Edward DeLahunt or Lisa Scanlan of the Audio Services Division at (202) 418-2700.
