WT Docket 99-168 DA 00-134 January 27, 2000 DEADLINE FOR FINAL EX PARTE AND OTHER PRESENTATIONS ON ISSUES RELATED TO GUARD BANDS IN THE 746-764 MHz AND 776-794 MHz SPECTRUM BLOCK EXTENDED TO JANUARY 31, 2000 (WT Docket No. 99-168) Final Ex Parte and Other Presentations Due: January 31, 2000 On January 7, 2000, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau released a Public Notice in the above-referenced proceeding, seeking comment on specific issues identified therein. The Public Notice established January 18, 2000 as the deadline for filing such comments, and established 7 p.m., January 25, 2000 as the time and date after which ex parte and other presentations would be prohibited. Due to the recent inclement weather in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the Federal Government was closed on January 25 and 26, 2000. Accordingly, the period for final ex parte and other presentations on issues in this proceeding other than those issues decided in the First Report and Order will be extended until 7 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2000. Procedural Matters This proceeding has been designated as a "permit-but-disclose" proceeding in accordance with the Commission's ex parte rules. 47 C.F.R. §§ 1.1200(a), 1.1206. Persons making oral ex parte presentations are reminded that memoranda summarizing the presentations must contain summaries of the substance of the presentations and not merely a listing of the subjects discussed. More than a one or two sentence description of the views and arguments presented is generally required. See 47 C.F.R. § 1.1206(b). Other rules pertaining to oral and written ex parte presentations in permit-but-disclose proceedings are set forth in section 1.1206(b) of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.1206(b). Pursuant to section 1.1200(a) of the Commission’s rules, presentations on issues in this proceeding other than those decided in the First Report and Order, will be prohibited after 7 p.m., January 31, 2000, until release of the Commission’s order dealing with those issues. 47 C.F.R. §§ 1.1200(a) & 1.1202(a).
