On March 2, 2015, the FCC released a Public Notice to remind service providers and equipment manufacturers to maintain records of their efforts to make their telecommunications services and equipment, advanced communications services and equipment, and Internet browsers built into mobile phones accessible to people with disabilities, as required under Sections 255, 716, and 718 of the Communications Act.

The FCC also reminds these service providers and equipment manufacturers of their obligation to file the following three pieces of information in the “Recordkeeping Compliance Certification and Contact Information Registry” (RCCCI Registry):

  1. annual recordkeeping compliance certifications;
  2. current contact information for consumers; and
  3. current U.S. agent for service contact information.

This information must be filed at https://apps.fcc.gov/rccci-registry/ by April 1, 2015.

The “Frequently Asked Questions” section of the Public Notice contains step-by-step instructions for new filers and returning filers.
