On August 4, 2016, the Federal Communications Commission will consider two disability‐related orders at its Commission agenda meeting:

  1. National Deaf Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEDP). FCC will consider a Report and Order that would convert the NDBEDP from a pilot to a permanent program. 
  2. Wireless Hearing Aid Compatibility Requirements.  FCC will consider a Report and Order that would implement changes to the scope of the wireless hearing aid compatibility rules

Webcast: The meeting will be streamed live on the Internet with open captioning.

The meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. EST, in the Commission’s Meeting Room (TW‐C305), 445 12th Street S.W., Washington, DC. It is open to the public and will be live streamed.

Reasonable Accommodations:  Open captioning and on‐site sign language interpreting services will be provided for this event. Other reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request, such as tactile interpreting services.
