On January 4, 2024, the FCC released two Orders granting applications filed by Global Caption, Inc. and Nagish, Inc., respectively, for certification as providers of Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS).  The two-year conditional certifications allow Global Caption and Nagish to receive compensation from the Interstate Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) Fund for providing IP CTS while allowing the FCC to further verify that the companies’ services will meet or exceed the minimum TRS standards.
