On September 29, 2017, the FCC reached a settlement with Sorenson Communications to resolve the Enforcement Bureau’s investigation into a preventable service outage on Sorenson’s video relay service network.  To resolve the investigation, Sorenson has agreed to provide enhanced notice to consumers during outages, to reimburse $2.7 million to the Telecommunications Relay Services Fund, and to pay a $252,000 penalty.
