On October 6, 2020, the FCC announced a tentative agenda for the Open Commission Meeting scheduled for 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  The meeting will be held online only, and will be streamed live with open captioning at https://www.fcc.gov/live.

As part of the agenda, the Commission will consider a draft Report and Order expanding the audio description requirements by an additional 10 designated market areas each year for the next four years.  In addition, the draft Report and Order will modernize the Commission’s terminology to use the more common and widely understood term “audio description” rather than “video description.”
