On June 10, 2013, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) adopting several measures to improve the structure, efficiency and quality of the video relay service program.  By this Order, the Commission directed its Managing Director, in consultation with Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau and other Commission offices, to select a neutral party to build, operate, and maintain a Neutral Video Communication Service Platform under contract to the Commission.

 

The FCC’s Managing Director released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for services to support the development and implementation of a Neutral Video Communication Service Platform and to provide operations and maintenance service for the platform.  This RFP is available at: www.FBO.gov (type in Federal Communications Commission as the search word for agency) Contact Information and due date are listed in the RFP.
