On November 15, 2018, the Commission adopted a Report and Order that requires wireless service providers to:

  • provide additional information on their websites about the hearing aid compatible wireless phones that they offer, and
  • file annual certifications stating they comply the FCC’s hearing aid compatibility rules.

The Commission also eliminated the requirement for wireless service providers to file annual Form 655 reports about their provision of hearing aid compatible wireless phones.  This Report and Order will help ensure that consumers have easy access to up-to-date information about the availability of hearing aid compatible wireless phones offered by their providers.
