STATEMENT OF COMMISSIONER MIGNON L. CLYBURN ON COMMISSIONER
MEREDITH ATTWELL BAKER'S ANNOUNCEMENT THAT SHE IS LEAVING THE
FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
"I want to extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to MeredithAttwell Baker, who during our time together at the FCC, has been a trusted colleague
and a friend.
"Meredith has been an advocate of creative spectrum management policies to
spur greater investment and innovation in wireless services and devices, which is
consistent with my interest in promoting more competition to benefit consumers. The
halls of the Commission will be much less bright without her, and I am certain she will
thrive in her new position.
"While I am going to miss her smile, quick wit, and Texas charm on the Eighth
Floor, I am happy she will further contribute to an industry to which she is truly
committed."
